Not all but a lot of churches have taken trillions of dollars from us and we still have homeless and poverty... Am I crazy save the money and use it to pay a poor persons food clothing and shelter...pay it forward!!

They're Christian and ALMOST EVERYTHING they do is to help people in trouble.
They REALLY practice what they preach. Nothing fancy for their leaders - - just giving out food and clothes wherever it's needed.
PEOPLE are greedy. Churches are run by people, ergo Churches can be greedy just like any other business run by people.
I agree with everyone here, I am a born again Christian, and do not attend church, but serve My Saviour privatelly at home. REASON, BECAUSE CHURCHES ARE NOTHING BUT PHONY AND POCKET THE DONATIONS AND NOT DO WHAT THEY WERE DESGINATED TO DO.
I think tons of ppl think churches take their money but think about it ... Not only do they need to pay water bill .. AC bill or heater and other stuff to keep us comfortable .. I mean not the main purpose, but also they help tons of ppl too... :p idk that's how I see it ..
I rather do something better then go to church I work hard for my money to just give it to some church that's why I don't go I stay home or go out some where there is no god when you die you don't go any where but 6 feet down and your not ever coming back you get one time to live no more when its over it over ....game over people remember one time only to live so live like its your last because you don't get another time
Seconded. Practice what you preach outside the church. Help whoever needs it. You very rarely hear of any good works done by the church concerning the poor, though they are always asking for money to help them. Is their help so discrete that no one sees it?

Anyway... I think if people want to help they should help in their own time and convenience ... And not always with money.. That is the lazy way out I guess u could say. ( not always) but to be imposed on like that I think is not right.

Depends on what they do with it. I was a Baptist for 17 years. All they did was build bigger churches. But it is all about money. I'm very turned off by organized religion.

Unfortunately, I believe you are right. One of the large churches in my area audits their members to make sure they tithe 10% of their income.
