Is it normal that i think animals see things we dont?

Or is it totally silly to think so?.. It's just my cat, both of my cats actually (Got the cutest kitten ever few months back)

Like one night 2 years ago my oldest cat and only cat at that time was purring loudly while i was petting it until it stopped INSTANTLY... You can imagine a bed 'My bed' and it being up against a wall just behind it... It started looking at the wall almost looking "up" constantly starring with wide open eyes, at that time it was nighttime & my parents were asleep.. Really creeped me out.

Just 1 - 2 months ago my kitten also looked in that very same direction, big eyes starring at that same spot.

Strange huh and IIN?

My Cat acts funny, seconds before an earthquake hits.

Once she ran into a wall, I sensed something was up so I hid under a table. A few seconds later the house shook.

Some animals can see different wavelengths of light to humans so technically yes, they actually can. Animals also have the ability to be confused by tricks of the light as much as humans do, though :P

Yeah sometimes my animals act weird and look around and I just watch wondering what they are looking at. They like eating bugs though so I think sometimes its flys.

Haha.. Just love when cats are all in for some "Insect snacks"...

My kitten is hunting every kind of flying critter outside, guess it's practice until it finally can tear up mice & birds.

Looks hillarious... Do your cats eat bugs all the time?.. Would be cool if they allways got them annoying bugs that loves to piss you off in your room.

My animals eat whatever they can catch unless its something that bites. Like pitcher bugs.

If you want an extreme example of this, look at the mantis shrimp on google. The thing can see an enormous amount of colors that we can't even imagine. Other animals share these abilities.

Scientists are always trying to understand exactly how some animals can sense things with some organs that we don't fully understand. Sharks can sense electrical energy output from bodies miles away. Cats probably have something of a kinesthetic sense, detecting motion considerably better than we can.

I think this is why I love birds. Their migratory patterns are amazing and their colors are so much more vibrant to each other. I'd love to see what they can see.

Yeah. I've even heard people say that their animals can see ghosts in their home.

Well then we .... Get in the more "Paranormal" direction of things, i'm sure they see something "Natural" that i just simply cannot see.

But it's just strange when your cat stops purring, and starts looking at the damn wall. With no bugs/insects to be seen.

She also jumped down from my bed and walked out of my bedroom, till this day she usually stays away from my bed, even if i pick her up and drop her on it myself & start petting her.

Oh I like to think of myself as a somewhat rational person but I would struggle to sleep in that bed without feeling creeped out

    Yes :)
once while minding my brothers house (which i suspected was haunted) me and his cat were chillin' and all of a sudden the cat shot up, tail puffed out and started staring at the kitchen door, i couldn't see anything out of place or unusual....really creeped me out though....

They definitely do. 2 years ago I was laying on my couch playing COD and my dog, who was dead to the world asleep on the floor in the kitchen, suddenly wakes up, comes into the living room and starts putting her paw on my arm and whining and pulling my hands off my controller. I'm like "Oh fuck, shits about to go down" and like a few minutes later there was an earthquake, I thought it was an explosion or some shit. The house shook a little bit but nothing broke or anything, still it was really weird.

I used to have a horse and she could always tell when a bad storm was about to hit, her ears just perked up in a weird way and the noises she'd make and how she'd prance around, like you could just tell something was going to happen.

Haha my animals do that too. My dog will look out the window and bark when there's nothing there. And sometimes my cats will be on high alert for no apparent reason. It's actually kinda cute.

Some animals start behaving strangely if there's a big storm coming?
