Is it normal that i thought "selfie" was a dirty word at first?

When I first heard that term, I thought it had something to do with masturbation or autofellatio. It was only later that I knew it had to do with photos. Is this normal that I thought this way?

    It is normal, I guess. When I first heard of the word '"selfie", this extremely inappropriate guy from work told me, and since he always says inappropriate things, I thought it was a dirty word, too.
