Is it normal that i use u in colour?
I'm English. American. I am not 'across the pond'. I prefer the U in colour or favourite. I don't know why I just like it better.

Maybe it should be spelled kula. Color sounds like it should be pronounced "Koh Lore" or "Col Ore" and colour like "Col Hour" or "Colo Uhh".
no thats wrong, its color, do u ever see it spelled that way on a color crayon box?
You said you are English but put a period and put American. Do you mean to say English American as in from England living in the US? If you are from England I think one would probobly be more inclined to spelling it the way of their country of origin.
I do it all the time in English class, i have yet to get marked off on an essay for it.
Colour!!! Colour!!! Your using the English language, so spell things properly!!! Bloody Americans and the bastardisation of the English language, which they have adopted!! The least you could do is use it properly or come up with your own language!!!!!!
wow people actually didn't know some countries spell colour differently? talk about americanised..
I'm in Canada and we spell it that way. Who really cares?? It's one letter off. Some people here spell it the "American way" without the U, and no one cares.
That's how it's spelled in Canada, the UK & Australia. In America it's color, but you can spell it any way you want.
Its just your personality and what you like. Its not hurting anything to spell it like that. I spell it color. If you want to use a 'U' then go for it. Tell your friends your the one writing not them and bcuz your writing it you'll spell it how you please
Thank you. My friends made fun of me and told me I was spelling it wrong. Which is why I posted this.
What's wrong with spelling it with a u? It doesn't matter whether you spell it "colour" or "color", of course it's normal :d I use the u in colour/favourite (etc.) too, anyhow.
