Is it normal that i used to choke my little sisters cat?

When I was just a teenager, I would choke my little sisters cat. I only did it if I was really agitated. I'd pick it up by its throat and squeeze until it's eyes bulged. I'd laugh my ass off. Then when it stopped fighting, I'd let it go and it'd run off to eat from her food bowl. I don't do it anymore so don't go freaking out on me. Was it normal that I did this?
