Is it normal that i've been hearing birds chirping at 1am?
Around the beginning of June I started to notice that the birds outside my window started chirping earlier and earlier (way before sunrise). Does anyone know what this is this due to?

Where I live in the suburbs I hear night birds at that hour. Could be because I have a flood control canal behind my house which isn't taken care of very well by the city. It's overgrown with weeds and water plants. It attracts all kinds of critters. We used to get a great migration of frogs when I first moved here. But they are gone now. I love to hear the night birds and all the other critters.
I live in the city and they've chirped all night here since I got here. When I was suburban, they started about 4am, and where I last lived (on the outskirts of the city), it was more like 2:30am.
Either they're kept awake by the city, or their feeding patterns have changed and their daily cycle is no longer regulated by the activities of prey.
Birds chirping way before sunrise would piss me right off. I would want to kill the feathered bastards because I want it QUIET when I'm sleeping.
I've heard it's because of all the artificial lights, it messes with their biological clock.
I don't know but I usually wake up around that hour to hearing drums playing and don't know wher it's coming from
