Well, I would never actually hit a baby. In fact, I'm pretty nice to babies and often babysit.
However, I get really large urges to just slap babies and toddlers. Like, I don't really like babies- they are so stupid. So maybe hat is where it comes from.
But yea, I just want to hit babies.
I sometimes think about kicking them in the head as if i was trying to convert a try in rugby... Or maybe holding them by their feet and smashing their faces into concrete. That will give them something to cry about!!!!
(just kidding)
LOL I thought I was a freak because I have always wanted to take some unwanted 3 year old snot eatin boogerface out in the sticks and just slap and pinch the little POS until he cries and cries and then THWAP slap him again...then pinch him again...repeat. hell yeah that would be fun! I love LOVE animals and would never hurt one and have beat a few humans up for animal abuse. Yet I hate people for the most part and hate toddlers even more. HATE them. Babies dont bother me as much and older kids are even kind of amusing but toddlers SUCK ASS. I of course would and have never hit one since I was around 12 (neighbors kid, slapped him so many times ovet a year period until they moved. I loved that he couldnt speak yet and he would try to point at me about it but they couldnt figure it out that I was the reason he was sore faced LOL) but I would love to.
It's beyond psychological. All animals have the drive to overpower the weak. It's just instinct. Whether babies, helpless animals, even people who seem weak or awkward (ever wonder why dorky runts always get beat up in school?). Like animals, we share a reptilian kind of instinct to overpower or even abuse them. Just as animals have the drive to become alphas by dominating the weak, we human animals share this primal drive. Younger children cannot suppress this "bully" drive, but as we grow up, we learn to prohibit such tendencies. But take the advice of the others here. Stay away from babysitting in case your drive takes over. Simply put, don't become a teacher or daycare worker.
I hate it when people say that we were babies once. That doesn't mean anything we were the same way so whatever... I agree I want to hit babies because they just need to shut up and deal with their problems.

same here, im talking to a girl and she has baby sister i think shes 3 yr old and i wanna hurt her even tho i never met her, i wanna pull her hair so hard , pinch her cheeks take note shes not even cute or chubby but i really wanna hit or hurt her in the head fuck , wanna pinch her nose till she cant breath and cry and cry and cry and cry so bad, i really had this urge to hurt her i dont even hate her
Uhh there's one problem with that babies can't change their diapers cause they have fycking cartilage so they can't walk or change there defenseless creatures
totally normal. i hit babies all the time and i baby sit. i just tell the parents that they fell off the slide. ;)
When u say u hit them all the time do you hit them hard and make them cry? Where do u hit them any one place you like to hit the most? I have never been alone long enough to hit a baby or small child. I am glad too because I know I would really love it.

My kid is awesome. Most babies are whiny little fuckers, but mine is happy all the time. Be 2 in March. I bet you were knocked around as a baby. Probably whined and ate your shit outta diapers.

I used to have the same problem as you.
I had this since the tender age of 4.
I remember I used to squeeze this little girl back in kinder-garden so hard that she would start crying, It was a weird way of torturing her(I was 4 back than).
Any baby I saw , I had a strong desire to strike them and hit them, I guess the reason was because babies and infants are so clumsy and so dorky looking and at the same time so weirdly cute.
I grew out of it at the age of 13.
Now I'm 24, and I don't hate babies but I don't like them neither cause they are always throwing up and shitting every minute, and don't even get me started on the crying, but yet I don't get any desire to hit them or strike them...I just don't like the baggage that come along with a baby.
I do love babies from the age of 2 and above, they are so funny and cute, adorable!!!!
I'm definitely looking forward to having my own kids..I like kids, but I guess I'll have to withstand the first 2 years of having a baby

i know what you mean. i used to have a pet budgie and whenever i would play with him i'd hold him around the wings and i would just stare at him and fantasise about squeezing him to death.
**Note: i was not torturing the bird by holding it that way. it used to fall asleep like it so it obviously didn't bother it. so shutup everyone who was about to start getting cut at me for holding my bird the wrong way.

Actually for everybody who's saying what they're saying. It CAN be normal to want to hit your babies. There's something called post-partum depression that both men and woman go through, yes, woman AND men, months after a baby is born, which can last up to 6 months. However it is not normal to actually do it. Thinking about it and wanting to are different than actually doing it. If you hit a baby you need help. If you think about it because of the post-partum depression than it is normal. Mom's and dad's will know what I'm talking about.
You shouldn't babysit or allow yourself to be around children as a pro caution. As annoying as they sometimes can be, they don't deserve to be slapped around.
A adults we are at a completely different mindset to that of our junior humans - babies. The strong urge to hit them is natural because we naturally percieve babies as inferior so we spank them to both punish them to put fear into them but also make them stronger emotionally. It also jogs the process of curiosity forming the hunger of the question Why? Why? Why? We now have laws to inhibit this kind of natural discipline from occuring and has been deemed as child abuse. This makes the infant the authority figure in your life if you wish to raise it. I know an adult woman who has the appearance of a baby and would like to wooden paddle her just the same because she's demanding like a baby and thinks she has the right to do as she damn well pleases. When they start looking at you they start thinking of ways to amnipulate you and try to take control over an adult. Like I'm trying to say is it when they get that look in their eyes, all adults dispise it and are compeled to make them humble again.

Obviously I would never hit a baby, I just have the urge to. I babysit all the time and you're right- I would never want to become a parent.
