Is it normal that i want to preform alchemy?

I dont know if it would be considered 'satanic'. I just know its like chemistry. Breaking down an object or some kind of metal, into its most simple state. Which i believe is an Element? But i also heard that you can cast some sort of spells or something? Im just curious, and i have a passion for chemistry, biology, genetics, etc. I just dont want my parents and religious family members to think im satan worshipper or something. That would mean big trouble!

You can get bracers as quest rewards which make your create spells and poisons 20% stronger. I believe college of mages or thieves guild can get you these.

OK, Dr. Frankenstein. Just don't feel sorry for yourself when you create a monster.

lol Christian still penalize people trying new scientific things? they're just scared of knowledge because knowing the truth is a one-way ticket to the sky wizards personal torture chamber for all eternity.

either way alchemy is not magic, it's pseudo-science. back in the day alchemists thought they could unlock the secret of turning lead into gold. I do ask how they knew that lead and gold were so close on the periodic table of elements.

but other than that one little maybe even coincidence alchemists have accomplished nothing else. in fact if you can do alchemy and not fail you'd be safe to call yourself the first and only true alchemist ever because it does not work.

Well a bunch of Catholics practiced alchemy in its heyday now alchemy is definitely seen as magic because it is bogus. I would say maybe read old books on it but by trying to actually practice it would get you nowhere.

Alchemy and Satanism are pretty unrelated, your friends/family would have to be pretty ignorant to think you were a satanist. Alchemy is more connected to the Illuminati and other "secret groups".
Either way, don't make a big deal out of it/call it alchemy and people won't fuss about it. There's nothing wrong with discovering things :)

Alchemy was the precursor to modern chemistry, from when we had very little knowledge of the elements. It usually focused on finding ways to create gold or silver by mixing other compounds or in discovering the 'elixir if life' or a panacea that could cure all illness.

Our scientific understanding has grown so much since then. If you want to spend your time doing it, that's fine though. But if you have an interest in chemistry or physics, that's a more productive field to pursue.

There's nothing satanic about it. I really picked up an interest in this after I saw Full Metal Alchemist, though I doubt you'd be able to randomly create things, like in the show. I still want to try it out. I'm sure they have a dummies guide on it, if not, then go on wiki:)
