Is it normal that i was pissed off for being forced into a hug?
I dislike hugs, but I can tolerate them. The other day one of my parents forced me to hug their friend, even though I was clearly uncomfortable with it.
I didn't do anything, but I'm actually really angry and annoyed. I'm probably overreacting, but I think forcing someone to do that is obnoxious and inconsiderate. Not to mention stupid, because a hug is a display of affection, so telling someone to give a hug takes away from the point.
On a slightly deeper level, that makes me feel like my parents don't respect my feelings. I try to be considerate: offering to help, rarely asking for unnecessary things, and taking care to save their money the few things I ask for, and this is how considerate they are of me.
