Is it normal that i wish abusive parent would just die?

Cut off the abusive (Narcissist) parent years ago....still dealing & healing with lifetime of damage done by them. Still have ongoing feeling/wish that I can’t wait for them to die. Reconciliation/contact not an option. They have some kind of dementia also....

    It's normal but be prepared to feel differently when they die. There's nothing like a person dying to make your mind twist everything up and distort it so that they seemed like an alright person underneath it all.
