Is it normal that i wish i could play quidditch?

I know it doesn't exist but I'd love to be part of a Quidditch team if I could. I've even dreamt of playing it in dreams. One time I was even a Seeker and won a game for my team. Who knows? Maybe if we get along further in technology, we can create the Muggle version of Quidditch. Oh, if only. We could even have official national teams like they do in the Harry Potter books and we could also have the smaller, local teams. It could also probably be played recreationally like many other sports. It'd be so cool.

I had a friend start up a Quidditch club, I joined on a few games. It actually wasn't bad, not really for me though. I know that the colleges around here have their own teams so on occasion they would face different teams. Why not try starting a club at school? Inspire the muggles to rebel against their ordinary lives.

Lol, that's almost the nerdiest thing I've ever heard. And also something that I would probably enjoy doing...

It was really nerdy, I wasn't too big into it though, but most of my friends were in it so I thought I'd try it out. Like I said not my thing, but there are plenty of people who enjoyed it and like I said there was like a whole league since other schools had their own quidditch teams.

But how was it played? Because I thought the fun part of Quidditch was that you were up in the air! :(

If I am remembering correctly, the players will put sticks or brooms between their legs as they play.

Just running around. You make the goals yourself, poles with circles ductaped to them and you run around. It's pretty much the way it's played, but since we can't fly around we run around.

If it was real, I would probably watch it but I wouldn't play it. That sport is way more violent than football, and without the protection since it's expected that magic will heal all of your injuries. Get my spine broken by the ball and then get trampled by the enemy team's cheerleaders after I slam into the ground? No thanks.

I under understand it was a such a stupid game. I admit I'm not a fan of sports in general, but real sports make some kind of sense. Having the snitch both give a huge number of points and end the game is particularly bizarre.

You might be wondering what I meant by "under understand". I'm wondering that too. It was a typo but I don't remember what it should have said. `\('_')/` So just mentally delete the first three words there.

  • My biggest dream is to get my Hogwarts letter, I'd love to play Quidditch. I'm a nerd for it and I'll own up to it Slytherin at heart (although on pottermore I tested into Gryffindor I know I belong in Slytherin)

Why don't you play a real game, like Blitzball!?

Only if it were realistic. I have seen Quidditch (Did I spell that right?) played in real life on tv and, no offence, it looks pathetic and silly. I would be too embarrassed to play this version in front of others.

Kind of why I only played it literally once and didn't join my friends Quidditch club, I felt silly. I mean it wasn't that bad, but yeah i have pride.

You have to give it to them for trying. It reminds me of the made up games me and my friends used to play. We would act out fictional things in real life like, the Pokemon series. When you are young, you can get a pass at playing games like that. However, past a certain point in aging, that special pass isn't given out anymore. In some ways, I suppose that it is admirable that some people are able to be so carefree that they don't seem to worry about how they will look to others when engaging in such activities.
