Is it normal that i would like to live in new orleans, louisiana

I've actually never been but I think it would be much more exciting than where I currenty live (North Carolina.) I would be a minority there because I am white but I would go to Mardi Gras every year and visit the restaurants that are in New Orleans.

I've had this very same thought. That would be the life... sittin on the bayou, eating jambalaya all day long. Then I would prance naked in fields with Pagans, and go to sleep with my palm reading lover in the upper flat of his witchcraft shop.

@RoseIsabella N'Awlins surely has a rebirth coming up. Next generation, maybe. When there are enough people too young to remember

I think it's very normal to want to go to visit or live in New Orleans especially if you're Southern person because there's a certain charm and romance about that city. When I lived down South before Hurricane Katrina I used to hear different people talk about it all the time. But, in the years after Katrina I haven't heard much talk about it. It's quite sad really.

    • I was recently in Washington state for three weeks and noticed how stand offish and rude the people come off there compared to the people here in Texas.

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada and I must say that I miss the South, Houston Texas in particular. I would very much love to live in Austin as well and or check out Athens, Georgia.

Hurricanes, tropical storms, flooding and tornadoes are the only things you would have to worry about.

Try it before you move! You may love it or hate it but sits best to get an idea. I HATE where I live and want to move to California(I think) but Im going to visit first.

I li in a city with a pretty nasty crime rate, so if I move il take anything that puts me in a better posision, but im already a minority so if I walk around therl itl feel like home, just in another country

New Orleans is definitely a town you want to visit before moving there. Some like it, many find it dirty, and oppressive. The pace of life tends to be much slower as well. Personally I think they are many many better places to live.
