Is it normal that i write down all my creative ideas on train trips?

My mother was quite surprised to find out that I write down ideas I get while I'm riding the train...I'm just curious to find out what others think. Is it really unusual?

    I used to do that when taking the bus. Always carried a little notepad around with me. It's a good conductor of creativity. You've got the changing scenery and the movement all around you but you're still free to zone out and get lost in your own head.

    J.K.Rowling done this with Harry Potter, we may have a little millionaire in the making on our hands!

    Not only is it normal it's positive. Could you imagine not writing down all those great musings and just letting them build up in your head; to either die away or drive you crazy?! I always feel this way until I write mine down-- on anything near, even if it’s something ridiculous like an envelope!

    I never write mine down but I sometimes decide to spend time spitting out creative ideas for like an hour or longer. If I rode trains then I definitly would do this during those rides so I think it is normal.
