Is it normal that iet my dog lick my lollipop?

Everytime I have a Tootsie Roll Pop, I let my dog lick it with me (Don't worry, she doesn't eat her shit) so it's fine. I heard a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's anyway so it's probably safe.

Yeah... After licking their assholes and private parts and eating cat turds and anything else gross, they have the cleanest mouths...

Right on, whenever I eat Chobani lime Greek yogurt I share it with my trusty Siamese cat, and yes we use the same spoon. I'll basically share anything he wants with him cause he's a good boy and deserves it!

I just want to say that I absolutely love your cats photo with the sushi plate. I want a siamese cat to befriend my bengal. I hear siamese are intelligent felines. Also, I'm not like stalking you on IIN lol.

Thanks, I really appreciate your response! I would describe Siamese cats as being active, intelligent, sensitive, dog-like, lap cats who are doting and loyal or least mine is. I'd like to eventually get Andrew a dog sister and or even another Siamese cat brother.
        :-)

It's cool, I know you're not stalking me.

Everyday baby, cause that's how I roll! If anything I'm healthier now than I was when I didn't have my feline best friend. It's probably not true of cats, but dogs have cleaner mouths than humans. One French kiss with the wrong person probably spreads more germs and is unhealthier than eating after the average dog or cat.

I've never gotten the flu from kisses and sharing food with a dog, cat or even a fancy rat that I had as a pet, but after a date with some guy who had a cough or the sniffles I would always get a cold or flu.

I agree but I do think it still poses health risks of course. I just don't think those risks are very high or life-threatening.

Well that almost certainly means you have another pet. Toxoplasma Gondii which currently resides in your brain it only causes mild brain damage nothing to worry about I guess. You know what is the point of basic hygiene if it only prevents parasitic worms eating your brain.

Some things seem gross for good reason.

My doggies love greek yogurt! I always leave a little in the cup for them or plop a spoonful into their bowls.

I love sharing with animals I love! I got in trouble for giving my sister's toy poodle yogurt, because it made his whiskers smell kind milky. :-(

Happily I've managed to convince her to get him a puppy cut with a clean face now so we don't have that problem anymore.
        :-)

Animal mouths are -not- clean. This is a myth. Just ask a frikkin vet.

Probably normal, but personally I think it's gross. Their tinned food smells disgusting and they lick their butts. Also dog breath, ew.
But then, I am a bit of a clean freak. Personal opinions I guess :)

I wouldn't call it normal, but I don't have a pet. If neither of you are getting sick, no reason to stop.

I was expecting a rather obvious metaphor, judging by the title.

I don't do that but I'll share some food off my fork with one of my dogs because he eats well off of silverware without really touching it. The other dog...forget it. She's a slobber monster and has to wait til I'm done.

She is a bit of a drooly one. Its so funny, she will sit patiently waiting for food like pizza crust, and the drool strands can get pretty long. Sometimes there's a bubble in the corner of her mouth. And when she drinks she makes a damn mess. Her jowls are soaked and she leaves a trail leading away from the water bowl. Ahh I love her bits :)

They are both pitbulls, American pitbull terriers. I have a male and a female. The female was rescued when she was 18 months old, she is 4 now. And the male was only five weeks old. He is almost 2.5 now.

            They have children who are a year and a half old but I had to give them away :(. Luckily they are all fairly local except for one and they went to friends or friends of friends so I know they are in good homes. I get pictures and updates about them from time to time. That was an awesome experience to be a part of. I stayed with my lady all night birthin those babies :'}

It's always different when it's your own, except for my sister's poodle, cause I love him deeply like I love my Siamese.
