I dont understand. People dont want to be my friend, dont want to date me, dont want to talk to me BECAUSE IM ATHIEST. that is ridiculous, just because i dont go crying to god to get my sins washed away and i actually DEAL with my problems, i get hated on in high school. Im sorry that if i offended anyone. Im just very distressed by this.
Atheists are *the* most hated group in the US. Crazy I know, but in poll after poll they even rank above terrorists, Satanists*, cannibals, etc. Check these poll results:

First off please learn to spell atheist if you're going to call yourself one. Secondly, anybody who doesn't like you because you don't believe in an invisible sky-man is an idiot.
First of you think just because you believe in god you have to go crying to him just because you sin. I believe in god and I dont say a prayer to god about some problem and then just walk away from it. I deal with my own problems everybody in this world does. I sin all the time and maybe go to confession once a year. I dont get worried about it. I pray to my god to keep me safe and watch over me. You sound like you dont even know anything about it. Religious beliefs are very deep rooted for some people. I was brought up to stay away from athesits - probably in case they corrupted my young mind - and coz I'm Irish.
However, I can honestly say that apart from one time when I was 10 yo I'd never met anyone who didn't believe in God. Even now, when I go out every weekend to the pub and clubbing, I have never heard anyone say they are an atheist. You must be publicising the fact and

Maybe if you respect people they might like you. You are not any more intelligent by having beliefs separate from some one else's.
I noticed in your post you said "sorry", after saying things such as "I dont go crying to god" and " i actually DEAL with my problems" just makes the apology seem really shallow.
As an atheist/Muslim/Christian you have made a choice in terms of what you believe in. I think you'd appreciate that people respect your beliefs. Don't you find it annoying when a Christian person says that people like you are ignorant, or 'misinformed'? You'd feel pissed off because they are assuming they are better than you for believing. Here is the interesting bit, when I read your post I see some one who assumes they are better than others because he believes there is no god...
Not everyone has to subscribe to one thing, be mindful that other intelligent people like yourself have chosen something else. You'll make friends when you acknowledge that.
