It really annoys me when people say humans aren't animals.. we are! Just because our mental capibilities are usually higher than other animals doesn't make us not. We are simply a species in the animal kingdom, we have instincts and other qualities that fit us in. Does anyone else get irritated when someone says humans aren't animals?
I've learned from firsthand experience that humans aren't much like animals; they're much worse.
I'm not even certain we are the smartest animal on Earth.
If any animal is in charge it is definitely the cats.
If I look at certain people, I sometimes really question if humans have higher mental capabilities than other animals.
Yes this type of ignorance is very irritating. People who believe they are better try and separate themselves or whatever they know they are similar to. I think its a defense mechanism and they do this with a lot of things. This type of attitude irritates me. Its like saying anime is not a cartoon since its from japan even though by definition a cartoon is animated moving pictures that are not live actors. You can not reason with these people since they put themselves on a pedestal. Anyone who puts themselves on a pedestal is not worth speaking with in my opinion. This can be applied to things like racism and prejudice too. Though generally I think for some people to save time in listing them all will use the term Animal as anything other than human animal.
Yes, because we are. Just with high IQ's instead of strong instinct. We have all the same needs and drives.
Animals that can't seem to find a balance with nature and their environment, who, it can be argued are maybe too self aware for their own good.
Sounds right to me.
