There are a few mentally disabled kids that I go to school with and they REALLY annoy me. They always disrupt class and slow the teacher down. I get annoyed because they always disrupt which takes away from my education. In all honesty, they're never going to have a future so what right to do they have to take away from my education.
OMFG! Yeah I so agree with you, they drive me insane! This Mental disabled guy has the mind of a 4 year old, and goes around in the classroom and hallways saying s**t that nobody can understand. They should be in separate schools where they couldn't interupt our education. Oh man I hate those kind of people.
That's why they SHOULD be in special Ed, exactly why, they need special help when it comes to learning.
That's right; the class should fulfill the students' needs.
When I was in high school, many people in the class pissed me off to no end and they weren't mentally disabled. They were simply a bunch of neurotypical idiots who made the classes a long fucking headache. Poor teachers.

I get really irritated with them, and try to avoid contact, but then I feel horrible because, as people have already said, they can't help it, it's not their fault, et cetera. For me, it's essentially ignore them or continue suffering.
As much as I try to think of disabled people as real people like us, I still can't help being annoyed by them. They should be able to learn some things (or as much as they can take in without exploding, whichever comes first), but if it gets in the way of a "normal" person's education, I think they should have some kind of restriction...
they annoy me so much. seriously what is the point in having the ones who in no way will EVER be right in the head in our world? I don't see the point in them. i know it sounds mean and I feel bad about how I feel but they annoy me a lot
I feel sorry for them to an extent. And at my school I've had to deal with people like that. There was this one particular annoying girl who was slow and she always threatened to hit everyone and one day she walked by me all random and said, "Move! I'll kick you!" And I told her I'd beat her ass. XD I know, I'm horrible but hey, just because she was slow did not give her the right to threaten people. And Nobody liked her. All of the other slower people were pretty nice. But that one girl always pissed people off. My boyfriend growled at her once. LMFAO hilarious shit.
btw i think that yoyoyou is an asshole. people that have these disabilities cant help it...its not fair that their lives are the way they are and that everyone treats them like they are total freaks. how would you feel if you were born with a mental/ physical disability or had a child one day that did. it can happen to anyone and at any moment you could get in a car accident or have a stroke and be brain damaged for the rest of your life

some more than others. i cant stand a lot of people with aspergers. they drive me insane. and theres this kid in my home ec class that never talks, only laughs. and he wont shut up.
i have a special ed table in my home ec class so i have to deal with these people a lot.
the only ones that dont annoy me are the ones with down syndrome, because for the most part theyre really nice and they dont talk much.
i hate the ones that are always having fits and being annoying.
and i really dont consider myself a mean person so i feel kinda bad about hating them, i know they cant help it. but, god sometimes i just want to punch them in the face for not just acting like a normal fucking human.
I understand your feelings about this situation. They belong in special education. How about people who can't speak English and taking up all the teachers time. My kids gripe about that all the time. They ask for help but don't get any because the teacher is trying to help the non-english speaking people.

What I see here is the most immature childish people here. How can you all sit here and say things like you are sooo ignored by mentally disable people. Like most of you said, they can't help it which they can't. However, i agree with most of you on the part that they need to be in a class with thier own kind and not with those who are normal. But saying they are gross and to be ignored by them are just wrong and makes you more of a idiot that you make them out be to.
A lot of you don't seem that mature or intelligent yourselves. The disabled kids can't help it, and they're not trying to annoy you on purpose. Get over yourself.
However, I don't think there's any point in placing severely disabled children in classes where they can't keep up. They can't learn as quickly, and they need more help than non-disabled students. Blame the parents who don't want to acknowledge that their children need help.

Not sure how old this post is, but personally i can stand special ed to a certain extent. Their brain just can't handle normal life, and when i say that i mean, for example, i use to go to some behavioral hospitals, and we've had incidents where some mentally disabled kid got upset and threw baby powder, the entire building had to be evacuated. Another case was some kids used a mental disabled kid to beat down another that was annoying. Regardless if you guys think it's not right, i think there should really be special ed classes for these type of kids, sometimes it's better safe then sorry. Even now in the school i'm in, there's a kid in my 1st period that even when spoken to he yells out and it's very unnecessary and distracts children, sure they are normal, but our education is important and cannot be disrupted. And who knows what's going on in his mind to make him so angry like that. Like i said, better safe then sorry. And for those who would rather sit there and say "Well how would you like it if this and that happened and you end up mentally disabled yourself?" Frankly, i would understand if the school wants to divide us into special ed classes. I'd be comfortable and probably not looked at like a freak since everyone in the class would be like me, so calm down if anyone get's offended but i really do think the schools should put this in action.
I think it's normal for you to feel annoyed by mentally disabled people, ALTHOUGH! it is not there fault they are being disruptive in class, so show some compassion.
I understand how this can be annoying. Maybe try deep breathing or asking your teacher to have a talk with the student who is acting out. I should add that it is not appropriate to label someone as "having no future". People who are less fortunate than you are still on this planet and they have feelings. Try to think of how this would sound to someone who is struggling in school. The person could be acting out to get attention and someday they may grow up more and be less annoying to you. It would be wise to find a better way to cope with people who annoy you. Please, for your own benefit try picturing yourself in their shoes with their set of circumstances. Imagine how that must feel. Chances are you will never see that person after you are done with school anyways. This comment is in no way an insult to you. I am simply trying to help with the way you see the situation. I hope that you will take my advice and see this as an opportunity to see things differently. :)
I find it interesting that so many people condemn the asker for this. No, mentally disabled people can't help their condition, and no, they didn't ask to be that way...but does that mean that you can't have an honest reaction to them? The asker didn't say that all mentally disabled people should be killed or anything hateful. To be quite honest, I sometimes feel annoyed, as well, by those who can't function at the same level as me. Is it their fault? No, of course not. Is it still annoying to me? Yes. No one likes feeling inconvenienced, whether it can be helped or not.
honestly, I think that your school should create a specially made class for the mentally disabled people. You are right, it slows down your learning process, its a hindarance. Can't you raise this to the teachers?

Also, to answer the initial post. I sometimes get annoyed, or aggravated by the mentally retarded. Though this seems to depend on the individual. I swear that some seem to take advantage of their title. They do get away with a lot.

I sincerely hope you don't mean for them to overpopulate. That would be a tragedy for both them and the human world. I'm sure they wouldn't be retarded if they could choose, and I'm sure most people wouldn't want to be either. More retard density = more retards mating, spamming their flawed genes = more retards in the next generation being produced (assuming these mental illnesses are heritable). That's just begging for a world that people are born into completely F***ed. Also, as their frequencies would rise, the vast majority of your doctors, engineers, scientists, mathematicians, and hell...any other profession that requires a fair amount of mental capacity would disappear--faster than the plummeting, collective IQ of the human species in this hypothetical. So yeah, you had best not hope for a massive retard insurrection. However, that probably won't ever happen; I'm going to be blunt and say that I sincerely doubt a retard could rally other retards up for a single cause--especially if the cause is the subjugation...no....in this case it would be people posting rude comments on the internet about how they are secretly annoyed by the r-tards. Also, nine time out of ten, the "river" would probably be a shallow stream that the "ignorant" would be rolled into, causing mild wetness and discomfort; however, it would probably drown five of the retards in the process, which would result in a net loss on their part. See...bad for all. There are plenty of more important things to get incensed about. :D
