Is it normal that most people are religious.

Of course its normal ppl have been searching for answers to explain the unknown since forever so religion is a very obvious place to look. Alot of ppl are very uncomfortable thinking that there is so much we don't understand or that life really has no purpose and that morality is just something we made up so we can live together and cooperate and make civilization. Personally I don't care what religion ppl are or aren't whatever helps get you thru the night just don't force it on me.

We have a Jehovahs Witness that comes by and tries to talk to which ever of us answer the door. I'm always nice for about 5 minutes but then make up a excuse for why I have to go but my male roommate... he can just shred this poor guy and sometimes he does and sometimes he just tells him to fuck off and shuts the door. But I gotta give it to the guy he has conviction and never loses his composure even when getting his ass handed to him.

My question wouldve been really more why are than is it normal.but yea you honestly do have to tell em to fuck off.No sense in wasting time listening to someone who thinks you should feel obligated to believe as he does.The thing that gets me is christians act as if they are treated terrible when really the atheists are treated worse.At least where im from.Also the closest thing to world peace we could ever achieve would be the absence of religion period.
