Is it normal that my 6 yr old son thinks boys are cute

Children that age don't see cute as a sexual attraction as we adults do, in most cases. It's near impossible to say what he'll be like when he grows up, outside of basic personality.

Too early to tell if he's gay. He may have heard it from a little girl.

I think it's great you have the kind of relationship with your son that he feels safe to share those kind of things with you... Hopefully you'll find the type of responses to keep that honesty in place.

I wouldn't encourage that kind of talk from my son. Perhaps you should talk to him and ask what he means by "cute". He might just like the way Justin Bieber dresses and you can help him express that in a more appropriate way.

I didn't think any kids were cute when I was that young. He might be gay, but he still might not be.

I disagree with the comments above. When I was that age, one of my main queries was exactly what could girls possibly like about boys. I thought like, maybe if they see in boys have anything to be attracted to, they may also see colors in a different way, like perhaps what I call green they see as what I call blue, who knows.

Anyway, just in case you care, I ended up figuring it out, and didn't turn up to be the straightest person to have ever lived... so...

When I was younger I always thought girls are pretty. I still do! You can appreciate someone else's attractiveness regardless of gender. He is also young and like iEatZombies_ said, kids don't see it the same. Or you may have a little rainbow on your hands. Only time will tell! :)

Ugh, I bet someone says that he probably thinks Justin Bieber is a girl or something. Yawn. Anyway, I don't see it as anything majorly weird, mainly for the reasons that iEatZombies_ has said. My nephew was trying to walk around in his mother's heels the other day, and likes playing with Barbies. I don't see that as strange either. I only think adults turn it into something strange, and babies obviously aren't aware of any of that crap.
