My 2 year old cat bites me in random situations. It isn't an agressive bite, it is more of a playful bite. I think he wants attention but when I try to pet him he bites me even more. Is this normal...?

Mine does this when hes playful...its pretty obvious its a love bit because it doesn't hurt or break the skin. If he wanted to hurt you youd be bleeding those kitty canines are sharp.
My cat does this thing when I wont get out of bed, he bites my hair then "combs" it with his teeth. Its supposed to be a grooming method but it feels really weird
Get a string or ribbon and pull it around for the cat to chase. Might be playful.
My Siamese cat, Andrew, bites my front paws in the morning time ,because he's saying, "come on, get up, let's go out to the garden."
I call them "love bites". To me, it's another way of expressing affection. My cat tends to do this whenever we are in the basement and I try to leave it. She's nibbled my hand and my leg. It's all very cute.
mine bites me gently only on the chin. i just figure it cant get enough of me. yours might be trying to tell you something similar
