Is it normal that my best friend keeps threatening to kill my dog?

My best friend and I have been friends since we were 6. She and I have always gotten along. Recently, after her break up with her boyfriend, she keeps threatening to kill my dog. For a while I believed that this was just a reaction to her breakup but now I'm not so sure. She's never had a problem with my dog but now I have begun to fear for my dogs life. Should I be worried about this?

        She sounds like an awful person. Even if your dog were to bite her sorry ass I don't think she'd be justified in saying the awful things she is saying. Unless your dog mauled her I don't think what she is saying is okay.
        
        If I were you I'd distance myself from her, because she sounds bat shit crazy! Maybe you could ignore her until she can give you an answer? I dunno, non-animals people are a real turn off for me.

Well, let me see, if your friend? Correction, now, officially, FORMER friend, said something that seriously fucked up, if you can lead this psychopath on long enough to get this person to tell you this same shit again so you can build an EVIDENCE TRAIL, that would be in your best interest. Text messages would be perfect if the text will have the person's name and number attached to the messages. There, some proof. Get double proof, if you can record their voice.

Next step.... take that evidence to authorities. This person just made a THREAT that equates to bodily harm beyond compare. That kind of threat is not to taken lightly. It's not a joke.

Next step.....keep your animals safe. Keep your dog (or dogs) indoors, and supervised.

Once you have that evidence on record. Tell this person to get the FUCK away from you! All contact is now off limits. Ostracize that person. Get rid of that friend, permanently. Don't even think of forgiving that person. Just cut them off.

Lastly, even if this seems over the top, increase home security. Seriously.

Having said all that, if you two were friends since age 6, and this friend is truly acting UNUSUAL all of a sudden, I would guess maybe drugs are involved. In that case, this person needs to seek treatment. Nonetheless, a threat like that is still a threat, and for everyone's safety, I would report this person to authorities.

Fuckin' hell. That isn't a friend and if some douche tried that I'd make it clear that if they touched my dog they'd have a gravestone right next to their pisspoor failed relationship and have that dog shit on those graves daily.

You need to end contact with her, and possibly report her to authorities if you can provide proof of her threats. She shouldn't be around any animals. If I was in your position I wouldn't care how good a friend she was, if she was threatening my pet I would hate her.

And as for her breakup I don't see what that would have to do with anything...I've experienced a couple of breakups, the most recent being the hardest, and the only morally questionable thing I wanted to do was hit his friend who might have caused it.

sound like to me she went off the deep end of the swimming pool and bumped her head . now she is a fucking coo coo bird. crazy for coco puffs. But hey , she isnt my friend . you have to choose between her and that mutt now, and thats your fault for having a dog. BTW i dont date women with dogs or cats . A fish is ok .
