Is it normal that my boyfriend is obsessed with pokemon?

My 21 year old boyfriend is always talking about and playing pokemon. It's getting so annoying! He does this with card games too (yugioh, magic the gathering).. I don't mind him playing a little bit, but its all day when he's not working. Is this normal?

    So he's 21 and has a job.

    As long as he's paying his bills on time and taking responsibility for his home... I don't see anything wrong in his choice on games.

          How the helicopter is it racist ?It's the first pokemon game to feature multiple black,hispanic,and mixed people.

    its perfectly normal. just be happy he isnt obsessed with something way more caustic. and also nerds makes the best bfs/gfs ever. if he starts to ignore you because of his obsession than yeah out your foot down but dont be freaked out because he has a hobby

    haha, my boyfriend is 18 & obsessed with pokemon..he's actually the reason why i like drawing pokemon so much (he got me into it) & i'm 16. whatever makes him happy, it shouldn't matter :)

    Marry him! I wish my boyfriend was as devoted to Pokemon as he is to me in all honesty. Besides him being the love of my life, Pokemon...it's soooo up there

    I get obsessed with things as well. It's not normal. He needs to take an hour break and hang out with you. You said he plays all day so I'm guessing that means all hours of the day except when he's at work and when he's sleeping, which means he doesn't speak to anyone much or do anything else.
