Is it normal that my cat has a love affair with a chair?

I have this office chair that my cat absolutely loves. He is on it 24/7 it seems like. He has even figured out how to spin in it on his own. Also, he is very protective of it so he attacks me if I try to get him off.

    Cats love office chairs. My cat is exactly the same, except for the angry, biting part if you try to get her off it. Try spinning the chair as fast as you can :-) Kitty will be like screw this and you'll have your chair back. And with the great words of Faceless: Day saved! I'm going on break :-)

    My cat is like this too. Which is why is sometimes finds himself catapulted off the furniture or sat on. And then he jumps in my lap for love. Silly creatures, gotta love them.
