Is it normal that my cat likes to...

My cat is 15 years old, I had him since I was about 10 ish, I decided that I wanted to him to move in with me because me and my cat have always been close. It would hurt to much to let him go. So anyway, I Was about 20, and he was about 8 years. In his younger days he NEVER did this but now... Idk if he is getting old and crazy, or if it's the apartment we live in or maybe it's the fact he is away from my parents? Idk? So the problem is........

My cat shits in the bathtub.

Okay doesn't sound so bad but guess what? He waits there until I come up and see it in the tub then he starts to lick it. Like WTF? IIN? HELP?

This sounds like territorial behaviour to me, like he wants to mark his new surroundings. I think it's probably due to he upheaval of moving. Hopefully he'll feel more settled after a while when he's used to the new flat.

Am I the only one who noticed this is mathematically wrong? You said your cat is 15 and you've had him since you were 10, so that makes you 25, right? Well you said the cat was 8 when you moved, which was 5 years ago. Sorry but I'm confuzzled. :/

Anyway, it's possible that your cat is traumatized by moving. That or it could be his old age, or both. Maybe you should talk to the vet about this?

He is upset. He is trying to convey this to you. He probably misses living with your parents. As for the licking bit, I've never heard of a cat being into that. It is usually with dogs that happens with.

Try that litter attractant that you can buy in a pet store - it has worked for a friend of mine in the past. Also, cats sometimes wont go in their litter box when its dirty (well my cats a jerk so it has to pass his inspection).

try stabbing it in the face. then it will stop shitting in your tub. unless you stab it in the tub. then it wont shit in your tub any more after that last time.
