    My dog is the same. He'll go in the trash for food or "inedible things". Sometimes, he'll jump in our chairs while we eat or even on the table!

    Mine ate a lot of stuff corn, carrots, cold tea but one day he ate plastic bags & newpaper pieces we didn't know at the time what he'd ate then he got sick took him to the vet got injections got home & he threw up these plastic bags etc, he was severely ill and he died that night he was about 1 1/2 years old. remove that stuff from the floor you don't wanna lose him/her admittedly it's the worst case scenairo, won't hurt to be on the safe side.
