My dog appears you really enjoy eating cottage cheese. Once in a while I give him a cup of it along side his supper.

I had a dog that really liked beef jerky and cake. She'd go crazy whenever we had some. We'd only give her really tiny bits though.
In my experience, dogs will eat just about anything, no matter how disgusting. Given half a chance, ours will raid the cat litter tray for stinky little treats.
Some dogs are apparently lactose intolerant, but if yours seems to have no problems dealing with cottage cheese, it shouldn't do him any harm.
At least it's marginally less disgusting than cat shit.
My brothers dog dragged home a deer carcass. As long as the dig isn't getting sick you have nothing to worry about.
We lived in rural Italy for a few years. The abandoned dogs we adopted roamed freely, and they brought home the most disgusting stuff. Two that stick in my mind are the complete spinal column of a lamb that a neighbouring farmer had slaughtered and butchered, and the jawbone of a boar. Both had been lying around in the Italian heat and humidity for at least a couple weeks, and the stench was stomach-churning, but they happily gnawed away.
