Is it normal that my dog pants?

I have a 10 year old dachshund. Female. She is usually very active. Until last weekend we took her to the vet because she was limping. And the vet said something is infected inside her anal. So he gave three injections. And gave medicine as well. We have been giving her medicine mixed with yogurt so she would eat it. And now since yesterday she has been panting as if she is tired. I have never witnessed this before. She does it every time. It is usually hot here in south Asia and she is ok with the climate. But I'm scared it might be something else?! Some disease? She hasn't had the rabies shot since 2010 so we are gonna go to the vet this weekend. What should I do? :/

    Well let's see, I'm not really sure, but I'll ask myself anyway: "Am I a qualified veterinary surgeon?

    Answer = "No."

    Therefore, advise owner to take 2 Aspirin everyday day and everything will be OK.

    Why does your dog eat yogurt?

      Why not? Every dog I've ever owned has been given the nearly empty yoghurt containers to clean out

        Weird. I've never owned a dog, but it just doesn't seem like dog food to me.

          Well, it's not really, but then neither are a lot of the scraps I've always fed to dogs. My present dog is a rescue from a shelter, starving when they found her and she'll eat ANYTHING

      My dogs love yogurt too. As long as it doesn't have artificial sweeteners or added sugar, a little bit is good for their digestive systems like it is for us. And it got protein and calcium.
