Is it normal that my dogs forget to put their tongues back?

I have two little dogs, one a miniature doberman, the other a pomeranian. The pom is still a puppy, but the min pin is almost 5 now. They seem pretty stupid regularly, my late chocolate lab was far superior in intellect, but they forget to put their tongues back in their mouths after yawning or barking. They sit there with the ends of their little tongues protruding, just looking around like nothing happened. Are my dogs below even dog standards for intelligence? o.O

lol, this made me laugh a lot.

They don't forget; they just don't care. Dogs don't understand the human characterisation that tongue-lolling is a function of intelligence. Even if they did understand us nutjobs, I still don't think they'd care.

Just one of the things I love about them.

My cat does it sometimes when he yawns. I love a pink kitty tongue sticking out it's the cutest thing ever! Your dogs are fine lol.

Are you sure they're not on something? I would check around for any signs of a weed plant.
