Is it normal that my eyes feel weird when my face is close to a wall?

When I'm facing a wall that I'm close to, sometimes my eyes feel weird, even if they're closed. If I either have something on my eyes like a blanket or one of those sleep mask things, or I turn away from the wall, the feeling goes away. Is this normal?

Your eyelids let some light pass through them and when you are too close to wall your eyes could sense it because of lower amount of light received through eyelids.
This might be possible that your eyes feel weired because of something too big too close to them.

It might be invisible long-haired blanket worms on your walls.
