Is it normal that my female cat while she is in heat only wants me?

When our female cat goes into her heat cycle she wants NOTHING to do with my wife. Normally its totally opposite. She sleeps by my wife , watches TV with my wife and follows my wife around 24-7. But not when she is in heat. She rubs all over me and wants me to hold her the entire time.If I don't pick her up she follows me making the deepest loudest drawn out meows. She acts down right perverted. I feel sexually harassed at times ..LOL. Why does she do this and is it normal?

Basically, your cat is very physically attracted to you and wants your hybrid human kittens. No, I've heard of this before. Females are complicated, even cats! Her hormones are governing her behaviour right now. And you are the chosen one. Congratulations....

The D? As in vitamin D....... OHHHH YOU HAVE TO BE REAL CAREFUL WITH THAT.....

Vitamin D is vital in regulating the calcium and phosphorous balance in your cat's body. It also promotes the retention of calcium, thus aiding bone formation and nerve and muscle control. When ingested in exorbitant levels, however, this fat-soluble vitamin (i.e., stored in the fatty tissues of the body and liver) can cause serious health issues.

Chemicals used to kill rodents are the most common source of vitamin D poisoning in cats, though excessive use of vitamin D in the diet or drugs containing high levels of vitamin D can also lead to toxicity. Cats of all ages are susceptible, but young cats and kittens are at higher risk.

You should get her spayed. Leaving a cat to go through heat cycles can lead to an extremely life threatening (and EXPENSIVE) infection of the uterus called pyometra. Happens quite often.
