Is it normal that my ferret yawns whenever i scruff it?

When I first got my ferret he used to nip and I would scruff him for it, I also scruff him when we cut his nails and he always yawns. At first I thought he was just tired, but i'm beginning to believe that it's not normal. It's not any different from when he yawns other times. I would really appreciate if somebody cleared this up.

    Yay a ferret owner!

    To yawn when you hold it by the scruff is normal! Dont worry my ferret does this as well...they yawn as they relax.♡

    I don't answer to you question but let me tell you until you posted I had no idea what a ferret look like til I googled it and they are sooooo cute I want one now <3

      A friend of mine had one. When I was putting my shoes on the sucker came and latched on the my fingers and wouldn't let go, plus they smell weird.

    Scruffing and Yawning go hand in hand! It's completely normal, especially for ferrets. (Cats, not so much. Ferrets, entirely.)
