Is it normal that my fingers go numb when i play the piano?

When I play the piano my fingers feel numb.

  • You must really be banging up a storm for all of them to go numb. :) Try to use the pads of your fingers as much as possible.

    My hands are very petite so, if I play for longer than a half hour, my baby-fingers tend to go a little numb because I hit the keys with the side/tip and the nerves have been irritated.

    I really need this kind of vigor right now. I want to put effort into something to the extent that parts of me go numb. I applaud you, though maybe you are doing something wrong. I don't know. I don't play piano.

    Mine do that too. I think it's because my fingers are short though and I really have to stretch them out when I play.
