Is it normal that my friend and i have sex, but are not gay?
I would like you thank you for the opportunity to get this off of my chest before I continue.
My friend is my best friend and we are both males, and we grew up together. We are both geeks, despite our being hygienic, we are not the geeks that girls like to wear shirts proclaiming their love for. We're not cute or quirky, just research nuts that have both received full ride scholarships to a good school and will be attending in the Fall. We probably won't have any shot at decent women until we are earning good money. Academic prowess and being well mannered is not enough to attract nice girls for ourselves, sadly enough.
So... My friend and I were at his Mom's house one day and we were discussing this. Out of frustration we both got into his Mom's liquor cabinet, got drunk and played Mortal Combat. By match 7, we had both convinced each other that having sex with each other to relieve sexual tension and not being sexually attracted to each other is not a gay act, more so than it is a favor done between friends. By match 11 we were lotioned up, lights off, clothes off, taking turns on each other. It was very painful. After a few more shots it became... the most sexually satisfying experience ever.
After several weeks of awkward distance, we both decided to cut the crap and talk this over. Eventually we got drunk and it happened again. We came to the agreement that there was no sexual interest between us and we were simply doing this to hold our sexual desires at bay.
For the past few months, every other week or maybe more at times, we will come over to each other's homes, wink wink nudge nudge, turn off the lights, take turns on each other, get our clothes back on, turn on the lights and not even mention it. Our relationship has not changed, saved for the addition of this awkward ritual. Is it normal to have sex with your best friend to relieve sexual desires without any sexual interest?
