Is it normal that my friend doesn't want to go to the bathroom alone?

Yes it's normal for girls to go to the bathroom togther and i also enjoy it, but i can go alone when no one wants join in.
My friend on the other hand insist on someone following her in, and will not go unless someone goes with her. She also don't want to go alone, if she forgot her phone or needs to get some money.
And if you say:" I went ... alone yesterday" she'll look at you funny or directly say/ask:" ALONE????"(still with big eyes). First i didn't really think it was that bad... but i've known her for some years now, and i sometimes really think it's a problem and if i'm not in the mood say to her:"can't you do it alone?"
Is it me who's in the wrong ad should just go with her, even though i don't want to, or does she have some kind of mild case of seperation-anxiety disorder(may be over reacting calling it a anxiety disorder, but couldn't find another word)?

      Tell you what that is if you dare to, go to a toilet at 2 AM in the night, lock the door, keep the lights off and stand there in complete darkness counting slowly to 1500 (since you cant see the time or anything as the lights are turned off), each count representing a second meaning by the time you are finished to 1500 it would be 25 minutes. Try it if you dare to and then brag that its just a toilet...

        No-one uses the toilet with the lights off, and if you're using it for 25 minutes at a time I recommend you see a doctor.

    It could be a phobia or something traumatic could have happened to her once when she went to the toilet alone. Whichever is the cause, I think that she should see a therapist.

    I always assumed that girls that dont go anywhere alone were afraid of getting raped, which is understandable to me depending on where you are.

      yeah but it's mostly in our school which is not very big or dangerous... of course at a party or outside at night i'd follow her without question:) but also outside in daytime, even if it's in a small café she doesn't like to go alone:)

    I haven't heard of anybody flushing themselves down the toilet in some time; she should be OK without your help.
    Though I believe one should go out of one's way for a friend, this seems to be pushing the friendship thing a bit far.
    This girl needs a shrink. She's nuts.

      There was once a baby who was born in a Chinese toilet and the mother flushed it. The baby ended up getting stuck but, it was rescued. I remember that there were some concerns raised over her actions and her story.
