Is it normal that my government professor...

...grades you on your opinion. In class he gives us quotes to interpret. And if it doesn't match his interpretation you won't get a good grade. And also when he teaches he puts a conservative republican biased spin on it. It doesn't really bother me because I really don't care of politics but it's irritating how he teaches us and I learn nothing that I need to. IIN?

  • I had a profressor like that, except liberal. Too bad I was the most brilliant one in the class, so when I answered questions correctly, it would anger her because she couldn't possibly fail me.

Most of my college professors were like that. I had six grades that were a 'C' or lower - Those were from the professors whose opinions I didn't share.

It shouldn't be normal but it's the case for some teachers and professors. It's a shame; I've had a few teachers like that.

Be sure to mention what's bothering you on the professor evaluations you fill out toward the end of the semester.

  • Although it's unfair, you'll have to deal with it unfortunately. I'm in your situation as well.

    Good luck.

Well he looks like a Bill-O and Hannity lover. GREAT, just what we need nowadays.

Anyways, what I would do is just try and match his biased Repub opinion as best you can. And if it gets really bad, talk to him after class about it.

And if all else fails, poop in his desk drawer.
