Is it normal that my grandmas bird annoys me?

So my grandmother has this small parakeet that keeps on yelling and screaming, and until I throw something at the cage, it won't shut up! Its not like a heavy object I throw, it's stuff like a paper ball or something like that. Any way unless its bothering my grandma, the only thing she does is say "sing my birdie sing!" -.- ...and when my grandma tells the bird to shut up, it does!! Like WTF.. Is THAT normal?? I dnt think so

My Paw-Paw had a bird that said bad words. A family friend of ours also had a bird that would whistle at you when you walked past him. However, according to my sister, he cussed her out one time.

I taught my grandma's budgie to swear. Not entirely on purpose. I was afraid he was going to say something bad every time he opened his beak.

But that's what they do. Birds sing and talk. No point hating them for it. It'd be just as crazy as hating humans for pollution, ethnic cleansing, and unalloyed destructive greed.

Suddenly singing and talking doesn't sound so bad.

Do you live with your grandma? If not, why let a sweet critter bother you. It's her bird.
If you do live with her, suck it up. It may be Grandmas only little piece of happiness.

I used to have a cockatiel. It lived 20 years. He was noisy too. But I loved him. He was a handful but sweet.

I also used to own a budgie. The parrot family is just plain noisy. But I loved them all.

My grandma used to have lots of birds. The worst were these two quaker parrots that just wanted to bite your hand off. So I would stand around and bang on their cage with a wooden ruler. haah! I don't feel bad at all because I was a child then. . .
