Is it normal that my hamster calms me down?

Every time that I get overwhelmed or upset I will hold my hamster and calm right down.

    Normal my sister has a baby guniea pig and it squeals alot when it's happy haha it's always funny.

    I used to have a hamster, they're indeed wonderful I have. They just don't live very long. :(

    I think animals especially mammals in general tend to have a calming effect on their owners. I personally prefer rats over hamsters.

    Right now its just my trusty Siamese cat and I but I would love to have a dog too. Shelties are awesome!

    I used to have hamsters when I was a kid. they ended up mating and I ended up with 15 hamsters at one time. **Blows extremely trendy spring load**
