    Parents hate to admit it, but most do have a favorite child. The trick is not to let the other children know it. My son was always my favorite, but now as adults, my daughter and I are closer. My son is often disrespectful to me, but my daughter is almost always sweet.

      Ah, come on, most parents do not have a favourite child. It's probably a small percentage of them. I've certainly never had a favourite and I don't believe I'm unusual in that respect.

      I think you could be projecting.
