Is it normal that my neighbor is my nemesis?

Meeting #1, wife & mother in law in yard, neighbor approaches makes dick & bondage jokes. Meeting #2, neighbor stumbles thru underbrush 2 a.m on a school nite, while wife & I are half dressed on hammock ( in own private back yard ) and say's ,"don't get up, don't get dressed, can I have a sip"? Meeting #3, neighbor comes on to my porch, knocks on door wants to talk. Tells me I need to be nicer to him. Meeting #4, comes onto my porch and tells me he's been listening to me playing guitar & that he's proud of me....more meetings but seems like enough. Wife thinks i'm making things worse by not aknowledging <? His existance. He's mad and weird. Is it normal?

    If you want you could get some kind of restraining order against him or install a tall fence or get a vicious guard dog. Unfortunately, ignoring him hasn't been working and he seems very off. Perhaps, he carrying on this way because he wants to have a BDSM threesome with you and your wife!

      I think the old neighbors and the couple next door had some weird relationship..hard to get a 500 ft restraining order against yer neighbor.

    I think my vote might have confused the percentage. What I meant was, yes, it's normal that the neighbor is your nemesis. (It's not normal for the guy to be doing this stuff.)

    Maybe the next time he trespasses on your property, you should just unload a can of pepper spray in his face (or at least threaten to).

        Okay, maybe ignoring him is not a viable solution. Just be grateful he doesn't own a dog. Dogs in the hands of assholes are among the worst evils in society.

          The truth is i think hes a modified version of a bully. He owns three little dogs ( poor things) and he yells them around the block. His wife and his dogs all have the same beaten, defeated, terrified faces.

    If your description is accurate and honest, then making vulgar NSFF jokes in front of your mother, invading your privacy and trespassing on your private property and then going to your door demanding that you be nicer to him I think are good reasons not to like this guy. That's just what I think but it seems pretty normal to not want to have anything to do with him.

    It sucks that he's your neighbour because he doesn't sound stable. You should definitely stand up for yourself and what's yours but just be aware of the possibility of retaliation.

      I've done everything i can to let him know he's not welcome, ( short of saying you're not welcome) but my wife gets angry with me and we fight for hours if i act stiff around him. Plus my truck just developed a brake leak... Maybe we're just both crazy.
