Is it normal that my pet hamster stares at me constantly?

Everytime i am getting dressed or undressed my pet hamster, Silky, stares unwaveringly at me. It really freaks me out! Sometimes i will be climbing naked out of the bath and he will be crouching in the open doorway, his eyes glued to me. It has gotten so bad that i have spoken to my pastor about it and the possibility that Silky may be possessed by the spirit of some dead pervert. Does anyone out there feel the same and is this normal?

Hamsters are known to harbor evil spirits. I've heard of many hamster owners being killed by their pets. Most chew through their owner's jugular when they are sleeping, but lately there seem to be more deaths from asphyxiation, for some reason.
82 hamsters killed humans last year alone. Keep your eye on that little devil!

ok, I am a duaghter of a vet. usally when a hamster stares at you, they are NOT stareing at you, They hear something we cant hear. or they are scared. I have known from experement that sometimes, they are bored, scared, sad, or even not feeling well. It also could mean they have something wrong with them! I would take him in, my mom has had cases to where we were forced to put him downn because of cancer, and they were parilized... just a warning

and they don't bite. believe me, i own a special place and i work with hamsters, if they bite, something IS wrong, or you scared them.

Well obviously the species doesn't do this in its natural state or it wouldn't have survived, would it? Other animals do this in captivity that don't do it in the wild.

They eat their babies cause they are stressed in captivity. That's a good reason not to keep them as pets they are obviously unhappy:(

It is possible to keep them as pets and not stress them to that point: it's almost always the humans who are the problem, not the animals
