Is it normal that my ps3 disconnects my for controller and crashing?

Okay, so two years ago, I got my second Ps3, the new and improved model, cos the old Ps3, just stopped working, for no reason, prolly cos I used it 24/7 with no breaks. Anyway, normally when I turn on my Ps3 ai press the ps button on my controller, amd the ps3 beeps, fan starts running, and hey presto, its on. Sometimes, turning on the ps button wont turn it on for some reason, and when its working fine for my ps3, the controller will just switch off and my ps3 crashes and therefore corrupts my system harddrive next time its on. With the Ps4 and xBox one on the way, i dont see any reason why i should buy a new ps3 or waste more money and get it repaired. What I want to kniw is, why soes my controller just cuts off, and qhy, during gameplay, or browsing online it freezes, crashes, turns off and corrupts my system. Anyone gor any ideas as to why my console keeps doing this, I don’t even use it much anymore, and why does the fan gi loud somrtimes and qhy is the fan still funning wjhen my ps3 is off (on standby)?

    Well. uhm, lets see here. The controller cutting off could be battery life low and it just dies. try connecting it to the system with a wire for the ps3 controller or any other that will fit the connection port on the controller and try that and make sure the controller gets charge. try that and as for the ps3 crashes, i would say that it is switching off via a safety feature it has for cause of over heating. that is my only hypothesis

    It could be overheating, filled with dust or that you aren't leaving it off so it can have a break. Try this, if it does not work, get it repaired.

    where you drunk when you typed this up?

    I think your ps3 is over heating try putting it in a nice and open place.
