Is it normal that my teeth hurt after smoking weed?

So recently I started smoking Weed. After smoking it, I noticed that when I press down on my teeth they really hurt!

Is this common, or normal?

If you get the munchies and eat four whole roast chickens in under 10 minutes then yes, your teeth will hurt.

This happens to me sometimes too. My best guess for the cause is I don't floss regularly, so my gums are somewhat inflamed. The weed makes me more aware of certain senses and also dries my gums out, so I'm much more aware of how raw and uncomfortable they are. Between this feeling between my teeth and the feeling in my nose from the smoke, it feels like the roots of my teeth are throbbing, even though at my last dentist appointment the x-rays showed I was fine.

My suggestion, in addition to proper dental hygiene in general, is as follows. If you feel discomfort in your teeth/gums while smoking,
    1. Brush your teeth with a very soft brush
    2. Floss thoroughly
    3. Brush again very lightly with Sensodyne. The goal here is to get it in between your teeth and on your gums without overbrushing and worsening inflammation.
    4. Rinse with mouthwash
    5. Carry water around and keep your mouth moist. Saliva kills bacteria, and a dry mouth will aggravate any existing inflammation.
    5. Don't get psyched out - with proper care you should be pain-free in a couple weeks.

    Best of luck!

I googled “why do my teeth hurt more after smoking cannabis?” and found this cool site for the first time and found this post. I also made an account just so I could like your comment. I’m also one of those people that don’t like to make accounts because it’s repetitive and it gives me anxiety sometimes. I’m also extremely stoned and my teeth hurt! Sooo... I just wanted to say thanks a lot for your thoughtful comment! :) I’m surprised nobody else has liked it yet!

Yes, it is very much normal for Marijuana to intensify your regular senses like the feeling of pain in your nerve endings(roots) of your teeth.

Nah it happens to me sometimes, but only when im extremely high.
It feels like a throbbing feeling but kinda comes and goes, best bet is to just floss.

I'd suggest you see a dentist. That's not normal whatsoever.

The weed makes you more aware of your senses.

Floss and brush every day. Stop eating foods that will rot your teeth.

I've been smoking for 4 years and I've never had that problem, and never heard of it from anyone. Huh, weird.

It's gotta be something else. I've never heard of weed causing that problem, and I don't see how or why it would. Get you're teeth checked- I agree with PapaGee, coincidence.
