Is it normal that my throat has been numb for a week?
For a solid week, my throat has been numb like a freezing agent had been applied to it. The feeling goes away when I have a drink or swallow food, but comes back when the throat is dry.

I agree with olderdude. You shouldn’t ignore it. It may be an indication of a serious condition. Tell your doc about it asap.
If it helps, it began when I applied a canker relief medicine to my lower lip. I've used this in the past, and while it has caused numbness in the past, none of it has lasted beyond 12 hours. Additionally it's not a normal numbness as I described above.
My throat is weird a lot. Not numb but more of a lump sensation and other similar weird sensations like choking. For me its apparently anxiety. I havent had numbness though, only pins and needles which is close enough I guess. Eithr way its probably best to test for allergies etc
