Is it normal that nobody has asked me ' the meaning of our existence'?

I have uncovered a fundamental truth about our existence.
It is the question that Humankind has asked since the Dawn of Civilisation ( and probably well before) .
is it normal that no one has asked me?

The answer to the ultimate question of life, the unverse and everything.
42 is the wrong answer, try number 6 instead.

6 is numerology is a number for love. So, the meaning to the universe is "love"?

I thought 6 meant imperfection and 7 mean perfection. 42 (6 X 7) is the merging of the imperfect and the perfect.

        Yeah, it did!

I think we even walked out of the theater... The only good part I can remember is the beginning or the prologue. You know the one in the book where douglas brings up dolphins?

Well I would love to hear it. Its a question I always ask myself. Maybe no one asked because no one even knows that you discovered this information. Or maybe because people believe that no one truly knows.

You are fundamentally correct. No one really knows although I have discovered something very fundamental to this.

The meaning of our existance is not something for us to know, and that's why nobody knows it.

Faulty reasoning. Reconsider why your point is an ad hoc acceptance of ignorance.

I disagree. I think that everyone should strive to find the meaning of our existence, otherwise our lives are futile, meaningless and pointless. I agree somewhat that not one individual fully understands this, but I think that as a whole, human society, through learning has made great strides towards understanding this.

Please use proper spacing when using parentheses,
and please place periods in its right place, as such in the case of the sentence:
"Civilisation ( and probably well before) ."

    Thank you.

Life has no meaning. We were sent here to just live. That's all.

Incorrect. Life does have meaning ; look in the responses above. We were not "sent" here. What does it mean to 'just live'? There's more.

Only one in one thousand people know the meaning of life. If this meaning were revealed to the masses, it would blow over their heads as incomprehensible gibberish. It is not infinitely profound, but once it has been revealed to you, you recognize a certain shallowness that almost everyone has. You become more comfortable and accepting of the forces that move us all.

I remember responding to your query, and that I had explained why I had not originally respnded months ago. I think that our conversation might have been hidden, because it was attached to 'pollution'. I did not hide it, nor do I know who did.

Okay, thank you for that explanation. I am glad you didn't hide it, because I thought we were having a good discussion.

May I ask you a favor then?

I was curious to know what you were going to say next. So, if you are okay with this, would you send me your response in a private message? You shouldn't have to retype the whole thing either, just find it in your 'my comments' and copy-paste it to me. Once again though, if you'd rather not, then I understand.

What is the meaning of life? Without being vague

    Comment Hidden ( show )

    • suckonthis9

      The meaning of life is:
      1) Survive in good health.
      2) Reproduce; but not to the extent of overpopulation and the detrimental effects thereof.
      3) Learn about this Earth / Universe in whichever field(s) of study best suits you.
      4) Work smart and efficiently, but a little hard work now and again is probably a good thing too.
      5) Be happy, keep a good sense of humour and enjoy the pursuits of life (recreation).
      6) Try to get along with others. If you can't get along, graciously walk away or try to negotiate a mutually agreeable separation
(friendship, family, love and property, etc.).
      7) Be charitable, but not to the point of dependency (A hand up is better than a hand-out).
      8) Do not impose your beliefs on others. Healthy discussion / debate is allowable.
      9) Live within your means. Try to live a moderate life. Do not overindulge.
      10) Be honest with yourself and others. Be polite and courteous with others.
      11) Conserve energy and resources. Limit your use of plastics.
      12) Be respectful of the natural environment. Do your part to prevent / control the spread of exotic and invasive flora and fauna. Encourage natural biodiversity.
      13) Do not submit to corruption and criminal intent.
      14) Use violence only in cases of self-defense, last resort or pre-emptive measures.
      15) Make a plan.
      16) I freely admit that I have not fullfilled all of the above (to the letter), but that I try to do my best.

Please feel free to ask about the points above. I am not an expert on everything. Please try to find any information you are unsure of yourself or consult with a knowledgeable person in that field.
There is still much to learn.

        • suckonthis9

The 'essence' of it all, is that there is a hidden part of the Universe which is all around you (and within you), if you know how and where to look.
We are part of this Universe, which we hardly understand. These are the guidelines which are provided.
