Is it normal that open doors annoy me?

Okay, so the thing is that when someone leaves through their front door i hate it when they leave it open, only just today someone i know opened the door to take some rubbish out and i said to them can they close it, they said they would only be a few minutes and i just stormed over there and slammed it closed. Leaving the door open makes me really annoyed and angry because they left it open. However, it is only the front door that annoys me not the back or any other and it is normally only at my own house. I dont know why having it open i dont like, is it because it wastes money as heating escapes or what?!
Please help!

It may be a result of your sense of security in your own home. Especially if it is only the front door and not the back. It's an unconscious safety measure. The front door open would expose you more to the outside world whereas the backdoor exposes you to another aspect of your home.

True, as more dangers can come into my house through the front than the back.

Yeah those are those little things that start getting to you when you've lived with someone for too long who has habits that start to unnerve and infuriate you.
I lived with someone just recently who would leave lights on in all the rooms he'd previously been in, but no longer occupied. I'm power conscious so I would go around switching off the lights and at first I thought nothing of it but after a few weeks I started to think he was afraid of the dark or something. It felt like such a minor issue to bring up but its funny how these things start to eat at you.

I think it's normal if it's your own door in your house or apartment. I don't think it's normal if it's someone else's door at their place of residence. Also I'm not so much worried about the heating or air conditioning but very conscience about not letting the dog or cat out. Just the thought of someone letting my cat out makes me so happy I live alone.
