Is it normal that people are better on the internet?

I like the people I meet on the Internet more than my real life friends. It's just because people voice their opinions more, and aren't afraid to be themselves, since it's anonymous, after all. In real life everyone tries too hard to fit in. I can be a bit of a loner, but not because no one likes me. I just choose to stay away from a lot of people due to what is currently "cool." It pisses me off. I might know the person in real life, but they act so differently with the freedom of animosity that I'd never know. I just wish everyone acted the sane in real life, the world would be so much more exciting. Anyone else feel the same?

    I posted a comment in the hygiene section about my boyfriend that put boogers on my femine products....i met the bitch online....the most fake people are online. I promise you

    Agree. People are sometimes hypocritical online, it reflects their position within the networking world, to attract attention or to convey a certain posture, or as a compensation for not having friends out there!

    Find some people that act as they truly are then. That is one of the main reasons that I have the friends that I do, because they don't hide themselves.

    I am the opposite. In real life I'm very blunt and direct and people accuse me of being obnoxious and pushy, but here I'm all sweetness and nice.

    I know what you mean. In real life, you're not anonymous though, and everyone is so afraid of being judged. Here, if someone judges you, they're only judging some letters on a screen; the mud doesn't stick.

    The internet is what real-life would be like if people stopped being so judgemental.
