Is it normal that people doing this pisses me off?

Okay, so I'm a huge Bulls fan, I love Derrick Rose maybe a bit too much, so I noticed my friend had him as her cover photo so I started talking to her about basketball. She thought he was on Lakers... so I asked if she really was into basketball and she admitted she wasn't, she just faked the interest because the guy she was into was a Bulls fan. Now this just pisses me off a bit and hey, I know it's not my business but is this normal? I've never even thought of doing something like that for a simple crush, and damn, thinking Derrick Rose is on the Lakers was pretty dumb... gives girls like me who actually follow basketball a bad name.

It's normal but just don't think about it. I am the same way with people and other stuff. I hate followers, especially if they follow me. I have to just try to not let it get to me but it's really hard :/

I don't see it as extremely annoying that she pretends to like basketball, maybe a little fake of her. I have dated several girls that have pretended to like watching football, and going hunting because they thought it would make me like them better. Truth is I wouldn't have cared either way, but it was actually kinda cool that they were interested in learning about what I was into.

See, if they just pursued an interest for a guy I wouldn't mind much, but she clearly didn't know/care about basketball one bit, that's what pissed me off.

Ya I do see a difference there, my question is how does she bluff her way through basketball conversations with him? XD
