Is it normal that people like to read blogs before visiting a dentist?

I have observed that most of the people read treatment procedures before schedule an appointment with dentist. Is it because they are anxious?

    I never have, but I suppose it's understandable. I just want my laughing gas.

    Even some patients see surgical videos before going to the dentist.

    I would guess anxiety, yeah. I saw a news report or something a while back that said that people seeing a run down of their surgical procedures just prior to going in had less anxiety about it than those who didn't. I can't say that was my experience, but meh.
