Is it normal that pokemon and wow is popular at college

Hey, I go to a college, (not school) and quite recently world of warcraft has become the biggest thing since sliced bread, we had a teacher challenging a student to a pokemon match, that was complied by him (this is a 20 year old student)getting his ass kicked at pokemon diamond, this had pretty much the entire course watching.

We have also had pretty much everyone (with a few exceptions) becoming wow addicts, we have had the popularish group talk nonstop about it, and even skipping off work to play, oh and to top it off, they have voted to have the college group name changed to "Defenders of Azeroth", because they couldnt get the other group to call themselves alliance, as they wanted horde.

Is it normal, or are my class just fucked up, oh yeah these are all 17-19 year old students with a few older ones.

    Im really shocked about how many people think its normal 0-0, to paraphrase, today had only 4 students attend (out of 13) because the rest where playing cataclysm.

    And its not even an ICT course!

    If these people act like kids then it's weird. If they act their age and do other age related stuff but do this as a hobby then there's nothing wrong with it, we all have different interests after all...

    My roommate still likes Pokemon(she's 19)...it's really weird. She has never asked me to do the whole "match" thing...but if she ever did...I'd give her "the face"...and say no.

    if they are all virgins, yes LOL na kidding i guess its... naaaaaaa the college i went to was most partying and drinking. by the way that equals heavy brain damage, memory loss and Erectile dysfunction<<<<----lol!
    SO REMEMBER Dont drink....unless its like on saturday or friday.
