Is it normal that snapchat doesn't work in my house

I came back from university a few days ago and for some reason snapchat doesn't work in my house. I have internet connection on my phone and signal but it just doesn't work. I still get notifications when someone sends me a picture but when I go on the actual app it says the last picture I got sent was from when I was still at uni. Any ideas?

    There's something about your house that's interfering with it. When you go outside your house but, stay in the same area, does the app still not work?
